Module Content
The
futures module consist of four levels, Novice,
Intermediate Advanced, and the Day-Trader module. After completing your
initial assessment we will have gained a good idea of what
level you ARE at (that is, not what level you THINK you are
at).
Module 1a
- Futures Trading - Novice
(ref: 5701a)
Designed
completely for people who have a little understanding but
virtually no experience trading financial instruments using
a financial future. The module clearly and succinctly
provides an introduction to the most popular and current tools
for trading the financial markets, including Financial
Futures, Contracts for Difference, Stocks, and of course
Futures.
After an initial
introduction the course goes into more detail on the
mechanics and construction of futures and includes the
following:
1.1
Futures pricing models - what elements determine the
price of a futures.
1.2
Trading Futures - where and how are they traded?
1.3
Commodity Futures - Oil and Natural Gas versus Indices
1.4
Futures Firms - An outline of the current main market
participants and how their prices compare.
1.5 The
trading systems on offer - Listen to the opinion of
first-hand users of nearly every system out there. A
platform is your hand in the market (and like the old LIFFE
floor traders found out), make sure your hand knows what its
doing....otherwise even the best system in the world will
not help you if you don't know HOW TO TRADE. (It seems
simple....but it is a fundamental factor in being a winning
or losing trader).
This has proved to
be the most popular section of the course, and many students
have been amazed at just how critical finding the right
trading platform, broker and communications system is when
being able to trade efficiently.
1.6 Basic
Money Management and Risk Management systems - In our
view probably the most important aspect of a trader's
education. This section will provide an insight into
some of the systems used by the top money managers and
investment analysts as well as systems used by professional
institutional day trades.
Module 2a - Futures Trading - Intermediate
(ref: 5702a)
This module covers
all the material in part 1a, but has the following
additions.
2.1 Free
real-time data subscription for all the major indices
and 'our choice' of platform FREE of charge*.
2.2 Deal the
Dow Jones E-mini contract for as little as $xx.
2.3
Extended Online and Telephone support - get a direct
line to one of the trainers when things are going wrong and
you need a refresher on the material in the course.
2.4 Complex
pricing mechanisms and their use for private investors.
2.5 Most
popular Technical Analysis models explained - but more
importantly are they practical.
2.6
Advanced Money Management techniques - this will cover
all the basic elements contained in module 1a, but will
provide FREE software for implementing money
management techniques automatically.
Module 2b - Futures Trading - Advanced
(ref: 5702b)
Includes all the
components of Modules 1a and 2b, but has the following
additions;
3.1
Entry/Exit timing and stop loss management
3.2 External
factors influencing price movements
3.3
Economic/Political events and their impact
3.4 25% discount
on the Personal Coaching Service (PCS)
This section of
the course is mainly for those traders that have been
trading futures in a professional or full time
capacity for many years or, for those that wish to trade full
time in some form.
The course
includes a one year FREE SUBSCRIPTION to the Personal
Training Service (PTS) where traders will get full support
on any aspect of the material covered in the course.
The course consists
of an intensive 2 day real time event, where students
(limited to 7 per class) are invited to watch our coach's
trade real-time using real money. If we lose, you will
see it. The aim is to show the full trade cycle from
initial analysis, trade entry, stop loss and money
management execution, to the final 'closing' trade. On
the second day you will be asked to trade using the
principles shown to you on day one in a simulated real-time
environment where you will pit you trading skills against
others in the group. Remember, all trading is
essentially a competition where you are trying to win, and
where somebody else normally has to lose. Learning to
compete and compete well is essential and we have found that
as well as being fun, trading against some of your peers on
the course, in some way replicates the intensity of real
trading.
The intensive nature of the Day-trading module means that
places and courses are limited. We strongly advise you
book well in advance to reserve your place. You will
also be asked to place a small deposit. This is to
protect ourselves and other course attendees against time
wasters.
The Day-trading courses will be held only once a month and
will take place on a Thursday and Friday.
Accommodation is
not included, but discounted rates for overnight stays at
one of either two nearby (four star) hotels are available.
Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the day
all students are invited to a meal after the course on the
Friday evening if they wish.
Choose which course you would like further information
on, or to proceed with your purchase securely on-line.
